Goru Parba' selected for Aporia International Village Film Festival

Kathmandu, Oct 16: 'Goru Parba (Oxen Festival)', a documentary on the bull fighting annual event held in Taruka of Nuwakot on the occasion of Maghe Sankranti festival, has been selected for the Aporia International Film Festival to be held in South Korea.

Aporia International Film Festival is being organized in Busan, the Republic of Korea, from November 2 to 6, 2023. 'Goru Parba' which is directed and scripted by Puru Lamsal is selected from Nepal. With this, 10 films from various countries have been selected for the Aporia festival.

Niranjan Sigdel Sharma is the producer, Ramesh Dhamala and Jyoti Singh are the videographers and Lawa Singh is the editor of the documentary shot under the banner of Cine Makers Pvt Ltd. The playback music of the documentary is done by Rajendra Bajgain while the playback singing by Sushil Thakuri. 'Goru Parba' has also bagged two international awards.

Executive producer and Cine Makers Pvt Ltd's managing director KP Pathak said the documentary has been made with the objective of promoting Nepal's cultural tourism internationally.
