Bhaktapur, Sept 28: Chairperson of Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party, Narayanman Bijukchhe, has said Nepal's art and culture are an integral part of the identity of Nepali citizens. In his address to a programme at the Bhaktapur Durbar Square on Wednesday, the leader stressed the need of promoting such identity of Nepal and the Nepalis.
He took time to say that cooperatives failed to meet their objectives as they did not invest in productive sector. Also speaking at the programme, party central secretary Prem Suwal termed the teachers' agitation against the School Education Bill wrong citing that it is capable of restricting the rights of local levels.
Bhaktapur metropolis mayor Sunil Prajapati said the local government could restore various heritages damaged by the 2015 earthquake on its own. On the occasion, 22 people were honoured in recognition their contribution to the preservation of culture.---
